Native to South Africa, the Bird of Paradise is a real talking point with its large, exotic looking leaves on long elegant stems. All strelitzias will, over time, develop splits in their leaves which is a clever trick the plant does to ensure that the younger leaves receive plenty of light. The Bird of Paradise is a relatively low-maintenance houseplant that offers a big impact. Does not include decorative pot.

How to keep me happy:

Light: Enjoys bright, indirect light and can even cope with occasional direct sunlight.

Water: Likes moist soil, so water regularly.
